Breathedge 2

Not 1.0

Breathedge 2 Early Access

Steam Early Access launched on 31 August 2026 at 15:00 UTC. The launch post says this is Early Access, not the finished 1.0 game with complete story and polish. Developers currently expect roughly 16–20 months, then leave EA once close to the intended full experience. US list price is $19.99 with a 20% launch discount to $15.99; they call launch the lowest planned price. Windows only. Thirteen interface languages; English and Russian have full audio. Windows-only at capture. mac false, linux false. Thirteen interface languages. English and Russian full audio. DualShock and DualSense listed. Steam Cloud listed. Family Sharing listed. $19.99 / $15.99 is the US package 868421 snapshot, not a regional matrix. Launch is the lowest planned price and it will rise.

What is in Early Access right now

The FAQ list is the first major story chapter, a large area, survival and open-space exploration, gathering, crafting, upgrades, repairs, combat, main and side quests, NPCs and optional junk. That is The Outskirts plus the loop on the oxygen page. It is already a game you can finish a chapter in, not a tech demo with one corridor.

On 1 September 2026 the Steam store HTML reported 87% of 142 user reviews positive. Reviews move; this capture is a dated snapshot, not a live widget. Controller support includes DualShock and DualSense. Steam Cloud and Family Sharing are listed. Steam Deck is a locked brand term; the store widget was not a stable JSON field in this capture.

Main and side quests plus NPCs mean The Outskirts is a chapter, not a sandbox empty of people. Optional junk is extra, not the campaign. 87% of 142 reviews is a 1 September HTML scrape, not a live Steam widget. Quote the date if you quote the percent.

How 1.0 is supposed to differ

More story and areas including planetary surface, characters, quests, items, flying and ground vehicles, personal spacecraft, warp-jump, building. Order may change. June 2026 news said the first post-EA update was already underway with personal transport, lore/quests, more location, the Man’s progression, new NPCs and important mechanics.

2023 Q&A: planetary landings will be rare hand-authored patches, not procedural globes with arbitrary drop-ins. Co-op is unlikely at main-game release because the story is built around specific characters. The live store lists only Single-player. Playing Breathedge 1 is not required; veterans and newcomers will be equally confused.

Planetary surface, personal spacecraft, warp-jump, building, flying and ground vehicles: that remaining list is long on purpose. June 2026 said the first post-EA update was already in progress with personal transport. Hand-authored planetary patches, not procedural globes, is the 2023 landing rule.

Section later on /early-access/ stays bound to that first-party record and the media id listed for this route, with no invented extra stats.

Platforms, languages, PC specs

Steam platforms object: Windows true, mac false, linux false. Minimum: 64-bit Windows 10/11, Core i5-8400 / Ryzen 5 2600, 12 GB RAM, GTX 1660 6GB / RX 5500 XT 6GB, 15 GB storage. Recommended: Core i7-13700 / Ryzen 7 7700X, 16 GB RAM, RTX 3070 8GB / RX 6700 XT 8GB. Storage stays 15 GB on both tiers.

Thirteen interface languages ship. Full audio is English and Russian. The 2023 Q&A said the studio will not ship fewer VO/subtitle languages than Breathedge 1, and Babe plus crew will have voices. Live audio has not yet matched that older promise; the table below is the store payload from 1 September 2026.

Spanish - Spain and Spanish - Latin America are separate store rows. Portuguese - Brazil is listed. Simplified Chinese is listed. Ukrainian is listed. Full audio stays English and Russian in this payload. The 2023 “no fewer VO languages than Breathedge 1” promise is older than this table; the table wins until a patch notes audio.
