Blueprints, tools and duct tape
blueprints
Steam’s survive pillar is learn new blueprints, craft tools and equipment, then upgrade gear and the spacesuit. Duct tape is named in the short description as the recurring crafting joke. The only tool with readable interface fields is the Jackhammer on an official Upgrades screenshot. Oxyworms are a Steam achievement collectable, not a fan invention. This page is that crafting surface, not a fabricated recipe wiki. The Jackhammer still is exclusive to this route, which is why the taped gauge-gun lives here instead of on home. Five named rows are the whole first-party crafting surface: Jackhammer, Blueprints, duct tape, spacesuit upgrades, Oxyworms. That is fewer tools than a competitor item mill, and the gap is honest. When RedRuins posts another Upgrades still, this table grows. Until then, craft from what the screenshot actually shows.
| Name | Category | Fields |
|---|---|---|
| Jackhammer | Tools | 4 kg · charge 39/100 · durability 100/100 · extraction 5 · level 1 · Upgrades UI |
| Blueprints | progression | Learn new blueprints, then craft tools and equipment |
| duct tape | material | Recurring crafting joke in the short description and about-text |
| spacesuit upgrades | gear | Upgrade gear and the spacesuit |
| Oxyworms | collectable | Named by Steam achievement Oxyworm Collector |
Blueprints unlock tools
The about-text order is learn, then craft, then upgrade. Blueprints are the progression noun Steam actually uses. There is no published list of every schematic. Treat “learn new blueprints” as the loop, not as a promise that this site has a complete tree. When a later news post names a new tool, it will show up in News and then here.
Spacesuit upgrades are listed beside gear upgrades. That means the suit is a crafting target, not just a costume. Repairs sit in the same EA FAQ sentence. Crowbar-timing, if you saw it in a walkthrough, is community-only and does not get a row in this table.
The survive pillar order on the store is explore, then survive: learn, craft, upgrade, repair. You will hit The Outskirts wreckage before you fill a bench. Blueprint learning is the progression hook, not a vendor with 76 SKUs. Keep duct tape in mind as the joke material while you look for real parts.
Jackhammer fields from the Upgrades UI
An official Steam screenshot of the Upgrades UI names the Jackhammer as a Tools item. The visible fields are mass 4 kg, charge 39/100, durability 100/100, extraction 5, and level 1, over a blueprint of a taped gauge-gun. Those numbers are a snapshot of that still, not a balance patch. They prove the game exposes mass, charge, durability, extraction and level on at least one tool.
Do not extrapolate a DPS chart from extraction 5. Do not assume every tool uses the same five fields. The still is why this wiki can say Jackhammer without inventing a stat block. If you need the picture, it is bound to this route only.
Charge 39/100 on the still means the tool was photographed mid-use, not that 39 is a capstone. Durability 100/100 is a full bar in that frame. Level 1 says you can upgrade it. Mass 4 kg is the only published weight. Extraction 5 is a unitless interface number. Quote the still; do not average it into a tier list. The Upgrades UI title in that screenshot is the only first-party screen name for this tool page.

Duct tape and junk
The short description jokes about duct tape. The about-text asks what to do with all this duct tape. That is the material the store wants you to notice. Useful junk and useless treasures are both listed as pickups. Dismantle machinery when you need parts. None of those sentences come with stack sizes.
If a guide tells you a precise tape recipe, it is not from Steam. This page keeps the joke and the Jackhammer still, then points you to scavenging on the oxygen page. Crafting without oxygen planning is how the visor goes quiet.
Useless treasures exist so that not every pickup is a part. Useful junk is the other bucket. Dismantle machinery when you need more than tape. None of those buckets have stack caps on Steam. The blueprints page is allowed to be short on recipes because Steam is short on recipes.
Section duct-tape on /blueprints/ stays bound to that first-party record and the media id listed for this route, with no invented extra stats.
Oxyworms as a collectable name
Oxyworm Collector is a Steam achievement display name. The flavor line talks about scrounging a pile of Oxyworms without digging. That is first-party as a collectable. Community guides also treat Oxyworms as oxygen sources; that use stays in the oxygen disclosure, not as a crafting ingredient row.
The achievement icon lives on the achievements log. This page only needs the name so players searching for Oxyworms land on a real Steam noun instead of a guessed resource. Unlock percent at capture was 0. 1%, among the rarest of the 39.
Oxyworm Collector sits at 0. 1% with Happy whatever! as the other 0. 1% row. That rarity is a hunt fact, not an oxygen regen fact. The worm icon is an achievement asset bound to the helmet log. Linking the name here keeps the collectable searchable without cloning the full 39-row table. Charge, durability and extraction stay on the Jackhammer still; they are not worm stats. If a later update prints an Oxyworm stack size, News dates it before this table grows.
