Survival loop

Oxygen, temperature and scavenging

oxygen

Steam names oxygen, temperature, scavenging, blueprints, repairs and occasional combat as the open-space loop. Temperature is listed with oxygen as a lethal detail. There is no first-party numeric timer or full resource table. This page is the systems briefing for that loop, with community oxygen-source names kept behind a disclosure. The six sealed records are the only survival ids this wiki will check off. Community oxygen-source names stay inside the disclosure below the official sentence. Oxyworms are a dual-use word: achievement collectable first, community air source second. Do not merge those uses in your head while the visor is dropping.

Out in open space you must keep an eye on oxygen or the adventure can end prematurely.

Community notes (VGTimes)

VGTimes describes air stations, worm nests and Oxyworms as oxygen sources. Those names are community-derived. Oxyworms also appear as the Steam achievement Oxyworm Collector, which is first-party as a collectable name, not as a confirmed station type. VGTimes also mentions a station-heating quest; that quest title is not in Steam systems text.

Oxygen is a fail state

The meter is a fail state, not a lamp gag. Pair it with temperature on the same HUD thought, because Steam lists both as lethal details. You will not find a published tank size, regen rate or freeze threshold on the store, news, or achievements list.

The visor ticks on this wiki exist to keep that pairing visible. They are not a fake dashboard replacing the screenshot. Play as if going outside without a plan to return is how you die, then scavenge with that constraint. The first-hour checklist on this page and on The Outskirts is bound to the same six ids.

Safe content at 39. 2% is the most common Steam achievement at capture, which tells you many players lived long enough to do something silly, not that oxygen is trivial. The visor still of EVA wreckage is shared with home and The Outskirts because it is the official open-space picture. Watch the ticks, then scavenge.

First-person EVA among blue organic masses, rocks, a Cosmostation Terminal and a pipe tool, with another suited figure ahead.

Temperature rides with oxygen

Temperature is not a separate published minigame with sliders. It is named in the same lethal open-space sentence as oxygen. Community guides describe a station-heating quest; that quest name is not first-party. Until RedRuins publishes a heat table, treat cold as the other way the visor kills you and keep a path back to shelter.

Do not invent a “safe temperature band. ” The honest briefing is: both meters matter, neither has public numbers, and any heating quest you find in a third-party walkthrough is labeled community on this site. If a later patch posts exact values, they belong in News first, then here.

Station-heating as a quest is a VGTimes heading. Steam never printed that quest title. If you find a heater, use it; do not log it here as an official objective. Temperature ticks on the home visor use glove orange so you do not confuse them with the ice-blue oxygen bars.

Scavenge, craft, repair

Gather resources, dismantle machinery, pick up useful junk and useless treasures. Learn new blueprints, craft tools and equipment, upgrade gear and the spacesuit. Repairs sit in the EA FAQ next to crafting and upgrades. Duct tape is the recurring joke material in the short description.

The Jackhammer screenshot is the only tool with readable fields right now. Oxyworms are named by the Steam achievement Oxyworm Collector, which is first-party even when community guides also treat them as oxygen sources. Crafting trees, station recipes and crowbar-timing are not on the store. This page will not fabricate them to look like a database.

Duct tape, junk, treasures, blueprints, spacesuit upgrades and repairs are the crafting nouns. Jackhammer fields live on the blueprints page with the screenshot. This page only needs you to scavenge without emptying the oxygen bar. Extraction 5 on that still is a tool stat, not an oxygen stat.

Section scavenge-craft on /oxygen-and-scavenge/ stays bound to that first-party record and the media id listed for this route, with no invented extra stats.

Combat is occasional

Occasionally fight, run away, and shove aside less fortunate astronauts. Coffinbots are the named hostile army. The store does not give ammo tables or boss rotations. Combat is an interruption of scavenging, not the reason the chapter exists. If you came here for a damage formula, Steam did not publish one.

Use the Coffinbots page for the Corporation war and the number-one-target line. Use this page to remember that flight is listed next to fighting, so running is a first-party option. The checklist combat step is that reminder, not a kill quest.

Coffinbots belong to the Corporation war. Shoving less fortunate astronauts is listed next to fighting and running. That trio is the whole combat vocabulary Steam gave us. The checklist combat pip is “I understand hostiles exist,” not “I cleared a wave. ”

Section combat-loop on /oxygen-and-scavenge/ stays bound to that first-party record and the media id listed for this route, with no invented extra stats.
